Last week we had another wet weekend, but Memorial day weekend is much better. Wind is a bit of a question. We started out breezy and Saturday, calm on Sunday, and possible thunderstorms for Monday.

We showed up early and had the balloon cold inflated when Bob showed up. Delayed the launch a little so Bob could catch up.

Even though I got off before Bob, we drifted slowly through the airport and he was ahead from then on. Most of the SSW flight, Bob was west of us, but as we approached Hudson Elks, we popped up higher and ended west and had to work hard to get the low left shift to stay on course for the Elks or school beyond.

At times the GPS showed zero mph but we always headed in the right direction slowly. The high overcast kept everything calm and consistent so we were able to navigate the light winds for a long time. Had to make a last pop up to shift right and stay inside the Elks field, but we came down near Bob as he was packing up.
