The end of the week forecast was very windy, calming down through the weekend. Friday evening was blowing about 18kt (3000 ft was 52!) and Saturday morning was breezy on the ground with faster upper level winds.

During the day the winds dropped some and by 5:15 they were slow enough by blowing south west which is not a good direction. Above 2300 feet they turned SE which is a good direction. Took off and climbed, eventually topping out about 5300 feet. Once we got far enough east of the canal I could drop to low level and make a slow return W, landing just across 42 at a house with a sign that says balloons welcome!

Sunday morning was calm but we worried about fog. The fog formed over wet lands and rivers but otherwise we stayed clear. This was a much lower flight, slowly moving west south west, exploring areas you don't normally see from the ground. Eventually landed in the yard next to Bob and walked over to deflate.
