This is the first event this year with a good weekend forecast!

Saturday morning was light to the south. Took off in the middle of the pack and headed slowly south. Stayed west of Queen St, crossing over Southington. Several balloons set down in the school field in the middle of town. South of town we lined up for a large field near Black Pond, but found it was fenced when we got closer. Continuing on at treetop level we eventually crossed over a tall tree line and found a gentle approach into an open backyard with access to the driveway.

Saturday evening was a bit windy, but eventually dropped in time for a flight. When the winds dropped they also turned South East. Kept it low and slow to avoid going over the ridge and set down at the golf course, off the green, and walked up to the parking lot for deflation.

Sunday morning was again light to the south. This time we tracked a bit to the west, again crossing Southington Center. Before we got to I-84 (it turned toward us) we stopped on a gravel pile, then eased across the wall and "Ron's Family Fuel" delivery truck to land in a parking lot for deflation.
