The past week has been a heat wave which has triggered some storms. Saturday is a calm and cooler day before storms return on Sunday.

Bob was the only other balloon out this morning and got off the ground before us, heading SSE with a slight right turn further up. We were over the grass strip when the chase crew discovered a car key issue, we had it in the balloon. Tyler got a ride to a point in from of us and retrieved the key dropped in a glove. The chase went much better from there :-)

Climbing higher we turned S to stay close to Rt62. Bob dropped in time to play over the Assabet River and eventually slowly drift across the river to Collings Foundation.

We played on the W side of the river for a while then climbed enough to start moving S again. Approaching Main St near the auto recycling yard we started looking for a good landing site. Several buildings and parking lots were visible just south of Main. Initially it looked like we would just simply clip the corner of the first parking lot and go for the second, but slowing and a slight shift right across the final tree line put us over the clear area for a gentle landing.
