The forecast leading up to Saturday looked like light winds... and boy were they right. Sunrise is a few minutes later but we still showed up at 5am, and Adam was already setting up on the parking lot. We ended up rushing some to inflate and get out of the way with 5 balloons. Moved north into the parking lot to finish prep while the others went hot. Took off over the others and drifted into the pond, staying low to wait for everyone. We all went east across Boxboro Rd. Adam stayed a bit further N. We went across Flagg Hill and climbed to check out upper winds but found nothing in the first thousand. Eventually got just into W Acton but when we dropped lower we turned S. Spotted an new neighborhood, circle with 5 lots, off West Acton Rd and started working that way. Across the road would quickly turn to wet lands. Dropped into the access road and deflated up hill on the road. |
