Last weekend (Halloween) we were facing a serious and early Nor'easter that dumped heavy wet snow on trees that still have leaves. Took down MANY trees and power to over three million along the east coast. Some for more than a week.

This weekend looks great for ballooning. Cool but not frigid and calm winds. Actually the morning forecast showed more upper level winds that the previous evening, but still good.

Bob and Rudi were already unloading when we arrived so we were last off. The direction was NNE and they were up around Rt 111 when we go above the trees. Speed picked up quick with altitude. Rudi was staying low so we were catching up, but Bob went higher and was much further N. Dropped low over the wetlands north of Rt 111 and could hear dear crashing thru brush. Eventually caught a glimpse of about 6.

Dropped low again as we crossed Fort Pond (I wonder if Brad saw us fly by over the pond). Up the west side of Nagog we were turning too far left to reach Grist Rd (North of 2A, west of Nagog Mall) so we popped up, turned right, and spead up to 24mph! Dropped quickly to turn left, line up on the road and land.
