Valerie had a good time crewing, time to try a flight. It was a slow departure out of the field, over the adjacent pond, and generally ENE to ESE in direction. We were mostly over trees until we crossed W Acton Rd and into the marsh area around the stream. Low level took us a bit more north and we crossed Central St east of the cemetery. Climbing turned us a bit south so we paralled Central, past the S Acton train station, across 27, along River St toward 62. River St bends south and we turned north to head in the direction of W Concord and the old GR factory. We could spot the prison in the distance and aimed to the right until we could see the GR roof while over Warner's Pond. Lined up for the parking lot running down the north side of the building and had a nice gentle landing. |
