Well, the forecast was too close to call even on Saturday night. It was left for me to get up and decide in the morning. I then called the crew at 4:15 to wake them up.

Everything was calm up till we drove into the airport. Then a breeze started moving the trees. Rudi was already there and used his iPhone to check current conditions around the area. Conditions and pi-bals indicated it was temporary so we inflated and the conditions improved before launch.

We made it a low flight to avoid too much right and faster winds aloft. Flew over West Acton, Acton-Boxboro High School and headed up 27. Rudi was further south and lined up for the Acton Soccer Fields.

Approaching Acton Center we spotted the large church parking lot E of the monolith. Popped up some to move right, then on the descending approach we passed next to the fire station and waved at the firemen before crossing the last road and descending into the parking lot. We were on the SE side of the parking lot just brushing the pine trees to stay in the parking lot.
